Biography
What started with making short videos with her parents’ camera quickly grew into a true passion for Eva! At sixteen years old, she traveled to the United States of America for a “High School Year” where she spent ten months making weekly vlogs and shooting items for local television.
In August of 2013, she started working as a freelance film editor in The Netherlands. After completing her education at the International School Groningen in 2014, she was admitted to the Netherlands Film Academy (AHK) where she studied Film Editing (Bachelor of Arts).
During her studies, Eva edited several fiction and documentary films. She worked with tight deadlines for the Dutch live television programmes ‘Hart van Nederland’ and ‘Shownieuws’ during her internship at Talpa Network (formerly: SBS Productions). She also worked on film trailers and teasers during her internship at Intermission Film. In her final year at the Academy, Eva edited a short animated film called ‘The Library of Things’.
Since her graduation in 2018, Eva has been working on a variety of projects.
In the summer of 2021, Eva completed the editing of ‘2 Kleine Kleutertjes: Een Dag om Nooit te Vergeten’. This animated 3D feature film was released in Dutch and Belgian cinemas in May, 2022.
Later that year, episode 11 of the American Netflix series ‘The Sandman’ was released, for which she edited the animated story ‘A Dream of a Thousand Cats’. This episode was nominated for an Annie Award and selected for the competition of Annecy and the Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) in 2023.
At the end of that year, she worked on season 2 of the children’s series ‘Jottum’, produced by AVROTROS. In 2024 she edited the full third season of the series.
